I'd like you to write 2 separate articles on the nursery curriculum in Scotland. This is for a nursery client I'm working with called Lauriston Nursery - I'm currently working on updating their website (this is their old one http://www.letslearnyoung.com/ )
These are for 2 pages on the website, giving parents an over view on the Curriculum and how they follow it. Lauriston is an excellent nursery! Their goal is to excel at every level - it's a lovely caring environment!! They have 2 nurseries, both are rank really highly.
1st Article Title Birth to Three Curriculum
2nd Article Title Curriculum for Excellence
Other general details on the nursery and their following of the Curriculum is below
1 – Pre-Birth to Three Curriculum is followed in our Baby, Toddler and Tweenie room. This national guidance sets out the context for high quality care and education for children from pre-birth to 3 years. Curriculum for Excellence is followed in our Pre-school room. This national curriculum sets out experiences and outcomes for children aged 3-15 years to meet the four capacities of becoming confident individuals, successful learners, responsible citizens and effective contributors.
2 – Children have access to a range of core provision which is available on a free flow basis. All planned activities are focussed on children’s development and interests.
3 – We are in partnership with Fife council to deliver and offer the Early Learning and Childcare funding to children aged 3-5 years. At present children are entitled to a maximum of 15 hours and 50 minutes per week from the term after their 3rd birthday. (This is set to increase in August 2020).
4 – Online learning journeys are used to record observations/photographs of children’s learning and development at nursery. This is shared with parents through a secure system. Parents have daily access through a mobile app and can also upload any special moments and events from home.
